Cinema at the Main Station

All in all I've seen 5 movies at this event.

Kung Fu Hustle: Extremely funny Eastern-Action-Comedy. 8/10

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: It works very good as a science-fiction comedy, however, in the second part of the movie they strayed a bit too far from the original plot. 8/10

Mr. & Mrs. Smith: Fantastic Action movie with a lot of funny scenes thrown in. 9/10

Madagascar: The newest Dreamworks masterpiece doesn't quite reach the level of Shrek, but it is still worth seeing. Especially the penguins, who are my favorite characters in this flick. 8/10

Every movie was worth watching, unfortunately I saw the best movie (Sin City) first, so I tended to compare the others to it.

Farin Urlaub

After two months withdrawal I finally found my way back to a concert. Farin Urlaub and his Racing Team visited Zurich on their "Sonnenblumen of Death" Tour. He played a fantastic mix of songs from both of his albums and so even enchanted those who weren't too fond of his newest record. I, of course, was in the middle of the action ;-), after all I need to get back in form for the upcoming open-airs with System of a Down! There was no opening act, however, Farin played almost two hours and 15 minutes! After the show I was exhausted and soaking wet :-).

Sin City

Saw Sin City at the "Kino im HB" (Cinema in the main station) in Zuerich and it blew me away. Robert Rodriguez created, with the help of Frank Miller and Quentin Tarantino, a masterpiece. The movie is set in Black & White, but from time to time important things arecoloredd, such as the dress of a beautiful woman or bloody scratches on faces. This gives the movie a special atmosphere, which will surely make it a cult-movie.
I have to warn you though, Sin City is extremely brutal, despite the fact that most of the blood is white or grayish.
The movie tells three separate stories which, in Pulp Fiction style, are shown in chronological disorder and connect in a couple of places.
Go and see it if you can, I can't wait to watch it again (the release Date for Switzerland is mid-August).
My rating: 10/10

Unleashed

Jet Li stars in the newest movie produced and written by Luc Besson. Jet Li plays Danny, who was raised by a money shark and used as a killer. After a car accident Danny can escape from his prisoner and gets adopted by a blind piano repairman (Morgan Freeman).

Jet Li proves in this movie that he can do more than just fight. His portrayal of Danny as a man with no experience other than fighting and how he slowly discovers the world around him is extremely convincing and touching.

Overall a fantastic movie with lots of action as well as drama.
My Rating: 9/10
